Please be patient. There will be a slight delay while the system reboots.
My bad. I managed to half-disconnect the power cord to the computer, and we ended up in that strange state where everything awaits my “enter” keystroke. Given that I purchased this system about a decade ago, I am actually happy that I can recover from darkness. Dell, you rock!
Now, what is on today’s list of things to ponder. Here’s one: are you social or asocial. Pay no attention to my answer. I was watching some younger people with too much enthusiasm extolling the idea of holding get together (the word used was rally). Across the continent, with stops to be announced. I can’t imagine getting together with several hundred thousand strangers to meet and greet and exchange travel tales. Not going to happen. Put a marker beside my chair, with my regrets. I live here.
Besides, the dog is getting too old for all that sniffing. Add that one to my list of why I don’t rally to your cause. Also, the coffee machine is part of my life choices, and it is too heavy to lug. The water splashes. Some people are offput by the odour of fresh ground beans. Not my kind of people.
I will admit it. I am more drawn to solving problems closer to me. Getting the laptop to awaken on demand comes to mind. And let the record show that today’s effort was a success. Listen to my clicks.
Hearing rumours of new snow. Really. Isn’t summer already underway?
