A low key tech day
Another utility day. That’s where I go out to the RV, empty the (already empty) waste tanks and then put a checkmark on the mental list. System works. Given the nothing but water contents, letting things run out into the tall grass is a no-brainer. I also emptied the fresh water tank; yes, water will get icky if left in the tank for too long. Just a precaution.
I’m still perplexed about the LP gas reservoir. We’ve hardly used it, so the indicatior shows that we have some. I just don’t know how much. Also, I’m unfamiliar with the fill process, and I have a prejudice involving new summer hires that know less than me. More reading. I understand the function of the “purge valve”, and the nominal capacity of the tank is something that comes up in the forums. Everlone agrees that internal tanks are full when the vendor has sold you something like sixteen gallons. I’ll keep that in mind, when finally standing there looking perplexed to the technician. Soon.
There were no mouse nests in the usual cubby area, so we may be free of freeloaders for this season. I had added a couple of ultrasonic gadgets, but the only way to be sure is to watch for nests. I have a sixth sense that they are better at hiding than I am at finding.
With that, time to go back inside. This was also a bread machine day, and the house smells great. I freeze the fresh and thaw the previous, which forces me to use my manna. Would I replace the machine if it failed? For sure. My consumption of bread is low; a loaf can get me through several days unless I develop a haankering for grill cheese.
