Not by the tail
v
This afternoon, our neighbour stopped by with a gift; two “bugs”. Forget any amateur radio connection (think Morse, quick). Forget insects. This involved a pair of crustaceans, recently rescued from the depths of the ocean.
I was not consulted in the cooking. An image from who knows where showed someone holding a live unit by the tail, to go for a hot water bath. Unbanded, with a tenuuls grasp on the tail. This could have gone badly, in so maby ways. Happily, gravity and a quick release put the critter into the pot, and right now tool are being laid out for the autopsy. Necropsy. Prep for supper. My donation will be some freshly thawed bread, serving as sinner rolls. There might be some salad. Might.
My plan for today involved emptying the waste water tanks on the RV. However, there’s a popped fuse (the macerator pump). I cannot read any of the labels, so I will let herself figure this one out. We have that fancy kil filled with replacedment fuses; I think we will be OK. Remember, this is all towards any eventual travel. No pressure, yet.
I have a new magnifying glass, and if I get suitably stubborn, I can probably find the fuse. It’s just that I don’t want to be the only resource.
Another day where I didn’t check the news feed. One way to cut myself off from the outside world. If they want me, they can call me. Or send a messenger. I’m also ignoring my email app (mainly list serv content).
