Crows and magpies and me

Finding the right word for a situation is really important. For example, I grew up with the  knowledge that a garage was a place that you took your car, when you wanted to spend lots of money. However, it seems that other people refer to the east end of our house with that term. I guess. It does have several different doors, and a big gate that can open on command. However, we turned that room into imperfect storage, years ago. Now, it seems that there are plans. Push on through to the other side

Rather than digress, let me mention that our quest for more stable web access is making slow progress. Today, the replacement cable for the antenna, and a proper egress, from the house to the outside world. Actually  the cable is now attached to the deck, until the next big storm.

Give your networks some TLC

Did you give your networks the love and respect they deserve today? Plural, for a reason. Most of us are unaware of how many  ways we make use of shared assets,  in all aspects of our lives.

Spotted while walking on water

The special birds are back. The locator squad simply had to walk on water to find them. I realize these might be different members of the team in a population that is dropping but it brought joy.

Manuals for forgotten languages

Starting off the month with a credit from our new ISP. We are waiting on a cable, and they have waived our monthly fees because we are not let live with them. In sharp contrast, we spent the last decade with a name company that never once met their terms of service while collecting their monies. We pay attention to those details.

Hover with an attitude

The first time I saw a hummingbird, we were in the south of NB. Near the National Park. A place where the boats were aflooat of grounded, twice a day. Very pretty. We were stopped for breakfast, and I was enchanted by the tiny   hovering birds. Almost like butterflies.
