In a different venue
The question came as a challenge. Not “could I” but “could I play”. As in Wipeout. Think back to life in high school. I had the unique chair in music class. More or a throne, really. No scales, and only rare moments to perform solo. When someone heard a neat new single, by the Ventures, it was the moment to throw out the challenge.
