Rack it up
No diversion, or perversion; no conversion… I am a personality with tendencies to introversion. My own company is satisfactory, much of the time. And when I cross over to the “dark side”, the social side, the decision is my own, when possible. That stated, I do socialize, from time to time.
This afternoon, for example. I (we) attended a community function, and although I knew only a few of those present, I’m glad I attended. A matter of respect. Would I want to do the same thing, tomorrow? Doubtful.
Actually, I’ve been watching distinctly antisocial movies, the last two evenings. John Wick, in two chapters. More of a video game with humans than actual cinema. The plots were shallow, and if not for the long, long sequences of armed combat, the franchise would have nothing to offer anyone paying for a seat in a cinema. I didn’t. I’ll check with the kids, but my suspicion is that they’ve already watched both and had no reason to recommend them. So be it.
We’re in a long weekend, and the time seemed right for a bike inspection at the dealer. I installed the carrier rack on the rear bumper, loaded one bike and then… undid the whole thing after minds changed. At least I’m now familiar with the actions necessary; not to be done in a driving rain, for example. We could, at some point, try to find a place to park the dog and then head off to explore trails and back roads. Adventures, on a budget.
