Like a Shakespearian play
The weather system that came through overnight reminds me of a Shakespearian play. No, not The Tempest. Rather, Much Ado About Nothing. I’ve got some replacement snow banks, and the dog’s best efforts on the lawn are out of sight for another few weeks, but that’s about it. Even my stock of storm chips didn’t diminish. We did have a lot of hungry birds (better than Angry Birds, I guess).
And life goes on. Other than some quality time with my Dyson, the day was pretty much a wash. I almost watched a movie. That sums things up. Did some more SDR tests, and shared my newfound expertise with an old friend, who is ready to learn for himself about the intrigue of the waterfall.
Out in the real world, the only thing that seems to upset the Twitterverse is politics. That’s not unusual. Many people wonder if our lives will be changed, once the transfer of power down south is completed. My guess is no. Just more noise, while the real business of a capitalist world continues.
A small tanker has gone aground, over in Cape Breton. I checked, and my AIS receiver doesn’t pick up the location signal. Could have been interesting, from a trivial point of view. There doesn’t seem to be any leakage, so this will play out as a skirmish between owners and underwriters.
Among the offbeat news stories, a man in Winnipeg received a traffic ticket for traveling with an “unsecured load” on his vehicle. Yes, that pesky snow on the roof ended up costing real cash.
