Dry fields and tons of spuds
With my weather station server now sited “one room east”, it’s time to move my (eventual) studio desk into a better position. Might be the effect of feng shui, but I haven’t been inspired with my desktop. Too full (the weather server?); no room to wrangle the mouse around.
After some careful thought (in lieu of sleeping), I believe that I’m going to put my BIG monitor into play. Perhaps not mounted on the wall, just yet; there’s a small printer desk which should hold the screen base and the CPU. Leave my standard screen and keyboard/mouse in front of me, hook up the dual video and get busy. Oh, and there’s a few MIDI input devices to consider, but only “soon”.
I could go downstairs, now, if I didn’t feel so complacent. Tomorrow… or the next day. And with another night of possible inspiration, why rush things? Better that I simply watch a good movie and call today complete.
The weather, for anyone keeping track, is gorgeous. Top temperature this afternoon of 22C and no wind – I should have gone to the beach. The potato harvest is underway, as evidenced by the number of trucks around locally, and I heard an interview with the head of their lobby group, who stated that life is wonderful: dry fields, abundant harvest, no sign of a drop in prices. The trifecta, for the farmers in the world. I won’t be digging, but when next in the supermarket, I’ll be watching for new spuds, ready for a baptism of butter.
