Should have tried the pie
That tingling sensation in my fingertips has nothing to do with a supposed superhero condition. No, I did something silly this evening. I played on my guitar, for too long. Not even a practice session.
We were at a kitchen party, and I wanted to belong. So, I played along. To the best of my abilities. Not sure if I’ll ever get invited back, but I did try. Kudos. And maybe this can serve as a push in the right direction, to get me to practice during the winter ahead. Also, my cajon was put in the public eye, and it seems to have passed inspection. Now others in the area believe that they, too, need a modified wooden crate to have fun.
Seriously, though, we went out to a social occasion. That’s rare! In the company of local musical royalty, to boot! And now, back home, I don’t regret the decision. Oh, sure, I should have tried the blueberry pie. But that’s a detail.
My new bicycle helmet was delivered, late this afternoon. I stayed with Bell, but the form is different. Ditto for colour; orange is the new black, etc. It even comes with a flashing light, for those moments when I want to be noticed. Pretty hard not to be.
Saw a digital TV antenna this evening. The owner claims that it gets the job done, and there’s no need to spend a lot of money with the satellite merchants. After all, other than the local news, this house is pretty much weaned from network TV. Must go and find a vendor, so we can unplug the dish.
