Trivial and other team sports
Team trivia is far from trivial. On a September Saturday, it’s the “only game in town”, and we take it seriously. Tonight, I won a chocolate bar, and had several hours of chatter for the sum of $2 – a bargain in these troubled economic times. Now I’m home, wondering when the next game will take place, as we watch a pair of cruise ships cross paths just offshore.
I’ve just reset the yard lights. Apparently, something tripped the sensor last evening; could have been a coyote. This evening, it was us returning from our evening over at the Rec Centre, but rather than depend on the light’s fallible recycle ability, I went out and did the push on/push off. Otherwise how will I know if we get other nocturnal roams.
While trivializing, I learned that one of my table partners is also at ease in the realm of the Raspberry Pi and other associated toys. There might be some collaboration ahead; at least, someone to run ideas by when I get stuck in a maze of tiny coded passages.
Did you know that the Royals are back in Canada? Of course you did; the national news is in full detail mode. I figure, as long as they aren’t going to show up in my driveway, why pay attention? So they plant a few trees and get a building or two named after them. Doesn’t have much effect, way out here in the boonies. I would like to get my dog knighted, though. Is there much red tape involved?
