Bring a wrench

posted in music, technology |

The distance from “Come look at this” to squatting on the floor, disassembling a table was shorter than I would have guessed. Required going home to unload the groceries and find an adjustable wrench, actually. Still not sure of all the details, but I’m involved in a transfer of furniture from one place to another; I’ll be better able to figure things out when that table is back on its four legs.

We had other things to do today, after our group breakfast. There’s a new musical instrument in the house: a Merlin. I haven’t touched it yet, but I was involved in the choosing process, after we made a late run to the city. I mean, with stores closed on Monday, it just had to get done (that’s me, pushing). The tone is lovely, and after some practice the karaoke around here will up a notch.

This was also Trivia night. Our team didn’t win, exactly, but I blame that on the musical selections which were outside my comfort zone and experience. Also, I should have paid more attention in whatever geography class tried to have me learn the state names of a far-off continent. In trivia, everything is important. Ditto for the character names in A0GG.

I had hoped for a clear night – star watching, etc. Must be my eyes, because I know they’re up there. Perhaps if I relax, in a darkened room before going back outside, things will become clear. Or I could just wait for the subtitled movie version.
