But did you see me wave?

The expectation is simple; when you are left alone in the house, for more than an afternoon, there are chores. Nothing too difficult, although the dog has proved to be hopeless as an assistant. Pick up his “lost” hair, although we both know exactly where to find it – everywhere. Make the bed. Don’t leave anything where it wasn’t when you were put in charge.

And so, knowing that the car has turned around and is headed east, I put some effort into things. All done by mid-morning (as I started a little early). The dog continued to move between the front door and the back door, just in case. I’m not as messy as others believe; it really wasn’t a big deal. And I found time to make a big pot of curried pork while doing other jobs. Pretty good effort, if I must say so.

I spent some therapeutic  time after supper, removing the accumulated debris from around the lawn tractor blades. Safely, with the key in my pocket. As near as I can tell, the pulleys no longer engage, so I’ve run out of good ideas. Time to find someone with actual experience, beyond watching some videos on YouTube. Note that I’m willing to admit when I have NO idea how certain machines work (or don’t, in this case). I hope we won’t have to load the beast on the back of a trailer for an expensive visit to the city.

A buddy sailed by here, this morning, on a small cruise ship. My AIS report was several hours late (freebie), so if he asks, I’ll say that he must have been too far offshore to see me waving, and yelling, and shining the brightest flashlight I could find.
