Take nothing for granted
Take nothing for granted, when it comes to the internet. My effort to post today’s blog entry was stopped, abruptly. The site was unavailable. I’ve been down this path before; thankfully, infrequently. The drill is clear. Contact support and check my email. Their team found irregular activity under another, unused subdirectory. Easy fix; I simply used the big eraser. Should I need to rebuild the other site, there will be newer, better software versions to consider.
And now I wait. I’m going to write offline, and when things are back to “normal”, I’ll post. The date stamp will be for now, not then. Best go and see what’s on TV this evening.
Mr. Dee is at the end of another season; I’ll watch that, enjoying the uncomfortable moments he creates for all around him. Yes, sometimes a school has people of his caliber on staff. No, you can’t ban stupidity.
We had a night of intense rain, and the snow is (again) gone. As a plus, the first new green from bulbs planted last autumn has peeked above the surface. This house is new to the whole gardening way, so we get excited about things like this. Maybe, by next year, it will take on a more routine air. That will be sad.
I’ve been waiting for a Pi box for more than six weeks now. Inexpensive, and only available from the other side of the planet. I’ve sent the obligatory note saying “my stuff still isn’t here”. And when the offer to refund my minimal investment is made, I’ll accept, and then start the whole search all over again. Could be summer before I get my Pi projects completed.
