Adults are just bigger versions of kids

Maybe I need to keep an eye on who/what comes and goes around the property. No need to be paranoid, locking doors and windows, but just be aware. There are strange creatures about…

The last snow storm (only two days ago, but still) has left sections of NS without electricity. For two days now. Makes our decision to get a generator seem better and better. Ditto for the buried electrical and telecom wires; won’t stop problems if the “real” wires go down, but having the service entrance lying in the driveway is really not best practice.

Watching some reruns from “The Office”; their lives seem rather complicated, until I reflect on my own observations of the workplace. Maybe not so much. After all, adults are just bigger versions of kids, right? Just about any of the situations that Michael and his gang of misfits get into are mirrored in real life, somewhere. That’s what keeps HR people on their toes.

Like the rest of the planet, I’m looking forward to the start of the Primaries, where we learn if the electoral process will vault truly crazy personalities into competition for the presidency, or if saner spirits will choose new directions. Seriously, after watching some of the comedy material available around the ‘net, I realize that we’re on the brink of disaster.

Trying to figure out my role as a cheerleader around here. Seems that telling everyone else (outside of the house) about the qualities of this group is insufficient to the cause. Too much vanilla… I may have to start posting YouTube videos of my own (if I can figure out how to use the movie mode on my various cameras).
