Tickets and rackets
I’m going to have to develop a plan for dealing with winter. Just hoping the temperature will rise to 10C with rain works, short term, but other than tomorrow there’s little chance of this resolving things. Yes, that’s the forecast. Still, I did go out and clear the plow-pile at the end of the drive; enough to allow a “run” to Souris for the essentials.
Having a track in the lane didn’t convince our delivery driver, this afternoon. She opted to ferry the three boxes of new stuff in, on her shoulder. I explained my trust in clement weather, and she accepted the situation. This time. Might not have the same level of acceptance when winter really arrives.
We also had company for supper. I worried about small cars lodged in the lane until spring…
Part of my inbound mail today included four different cone wrenches. A tradeoff: I could have found a micrometer and measured what size I actually required, or placed an order online that would cover all the common possibilities. I’m now ready for that shout out from a friend to help tighten bearing cups.
As we move toward the end of the year, I’ve noticed a sudden upsurge in “screeners” available for harvest. Should this phrase seem bewildering, so much the better. And if you do understand, ignore it.
A friend posted a cry of angst online. All of the Adele tickets are sold out. Sort of. There are many still available, but the price has gone up by a mathematical formula understood only by people involved in the shakedown rackets.
