On the table, on time
I claim bragging rights for today’s meal. Not because it was out of the ordinary; rather, because I delivered what I wanted, when I wanted, without stress. Everything arrived at the table, at the right time and temperature. Even the “put away” went smoothly, thanks to my assistant. No need to repeat the experience tomorrow. I’m going to coast on this one, for a bit.
Before dark, the dog and I left for an hour of exercise. Some common trespass, but we’ll let that go by. Nobody saw nothing. We followed a wonderful woodland road, all the way to the water’s edge. No wild animals or enraged landowners. Just the dog leading me along. By the time we came home, darkness was complete.
Caught the tail end of an odd political ad, where the man at the top reminded us that this election is not about him. Huh? Please, would someone send the man some newspapers to peruse, since he hasn’t a clue about what the commoner thinks.
Moving right along, I see that my apple pie has a sampler. I’ll soon know if my attempt went well; in case of failure (or success) I have another frozen shell on hand. Maybe the next time I’ll go for lemon. Meringue optional.
Still need to get outside and hang my ladder (under the deck). I’ve thought about it, at the oddest moments. In the middle of the night. In the middle of the afternoon. Now to apply the planning. And once that job is done, I’ll find something else to fixate about. That’s the way I handle minor problems. No, really!
