Out, spots!
Sitting, before dark, yawning. The dog did it again; rousted me at that magical hour before the hour before dawn. Took me for a walk up the road (which still had traffic) while he made sure that our area was free of predators. That was what he was doing, right?
Little things like that mark my existence, now that I don’t have to warm a bench in a cubicle for hours a day, in front of a computer. Instead, I can choose whether my seat is a simple chair, or a couch. The computer remains a given. I still have the responsibility to keep an eye on world affairs. And Facebook.
Off to shop for supper, earlier. That part was easy. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any more boxes of Cheerios offering free shirts. Someone in the family will have to go without a fresh change of clothing, pushing the laundry schedule up by a notch. Speaking of laundry, we’ve resolved a related issue involving dishes. The new appliances have required that we group-solve certain problems. This time around, spots on the glasses and flatware. I know, that’s not a laundry issue, but it does involve water hardness and soaps. Turns out that the blue liquid which we pour into a tiny reservoir on the dishwasher door actually does have a purpose. Add the mystery product and the finished results are shinier.
I’ve been asked to shop for a dehumidifier. As if a box can solve the humidity levels. Perhaps I should wait for autumn, when the issue will be solved by nature.
