Sunrise is the new sunset
My location means that sunrise is the new sunset. Getting up early isn’t the issue, and the weather console allows me to double check my intended hour. This morning, there was a mist hanging over the field below; gone inside of a quarter hour, leaving no trace.
After what may have been twelve hours of thunder, yesterday, seeing a colourful sky is a plus. Now if the humidity level can drop below the 90% level (giving swollen doors and sinuses a chance to recover), life will be good. The dog took me out for a walk, but we accomplished little. Too much in the same vein as his efforts, this evening. We headed off for fish and chips before the tourist season closes Rick’s place, and the hairy rider requested roadside halts no less than four times in a ten minute space. I was spared the four finger (claw) salute, but he needs a better way to express his needs.
The neighbour from below phoned. That’s not usual. She’s worried about her sign at the top of her lane, now that we live here. I assured her that there were other more pressing priorities in my life.
Weather postponed the big race in town last evening. Never fear; the ponies trotted/paced this afternoon, and the big show was over in under two minutes. Hardly worth trying to find the streamed telecast. I feel the same way about another race that took place this morning, with some of the fastest humans on the planet meeting in China. From a photographer’s point of view, a race that lasts less than ten seconds doesn’t leave much room for getting the autofocus to lock.
