Bed builder
School opened this morning, for one member of the household. Over the next two weeks, a conservative calculation shows eighty hours of instructional time. This is the same model as one year ago, when the dog and I were sequestered in a city hotel. This time around, we’re country bound.
The field down below passed an initial sprayer session this morning. Left me puzzled, because the new growth is still invisible. Obviously the farmer in charge knows what he’s doing (even if he doesn’t share his intentions with me). I closed the windows and kept the dog inside for an hour or two.
I decided to tackle the furniture puzzle in the other room. After all, parts one and two have gone well, so why not go for done. This section is, essentially, a double bed turned on end. Heavy. My approach of counting screws and matching up attachment points is working. There’s now a cabinet against the long wall, and the rest of the assembly may happen tomorrow, depending on abdominal pain…
The long awaited visit from the geothermal dealer interrupted things, this afternoon. My version of summer school. Essentially, the only thing I have to watch for during the next few seasons is premature failure of circulating pumps and solenoid valves. Oh, and error codes. This is also a computer, in dedicated mode. The tech was easy going, and I picked up some other information: which well is which, what line actually carries the household water (in case I get all efficient and decide to install a silt filter). My reading all those documents and forum threads seems to have paid off.
