Past half
My time was spent poorly. Now that I’m past the halfway point (to being one of the oldest living people on the planet), I’m discovering all sorts of things. Like good music, good food, scenic places. Stoves that do everything well. How not to fall on an icy roadway.
OK, maybe not the last one, but I’ve got some ideas. Back to all the things I haven’t done. Melancholy, not just a seasonal disorder. Google says we don’t get a “do over” on life.
Guess the alternative is to step up the tempo. Dance faster. Run like winning the race means something. Eat a good meal AND get the T-shirt. Print it yourself, if the boutique is temporarily out of stock. Yes, there’s an app for that.
On my current worry list: why hasn’t the bank asked for me to send funds? Are they flush? Confused about my address (I’m sure I provided at least two, just like the phone numbers). If they hold off for a couple of days (or weeks) there will be ample opportunity to sort things out.
Next item: why has the dog altered his meal schedule? Is it because others are into gaming, which perverts the clock around here? Has there been kitchen intervention while I sleep? Should set up a webcam, just in case. Must have one around here, somewhere.
New musical discovery: Jordi Savall. Spotted on one of the cable channels that is offered as an enticement for the holidays. Not new, exactly; he’s been busy since before I was born, but there’s talent… the kind I wish I had. So unfair that the tunes are in my head, waiting to go out, and I’m into a lazy period. After all, the halfway point has passed.
