Inspirations and grammar tips

There is now a confirmed sighting if my culvert! All about the details. Seems that there will (eventually) be two wells beside the house. One short phone call… That old commercial that extolled long distance as “the next best thing to being there”; I finally get it!

An even better short phone call. The date for my eye surgery has been set, just over three weeks hence. Enough time to pack some more boxes. Again, all about the details. Any pressure to get things done has a counterbalance.

With another warm day in place, I took a blue foamy outside to serve as knee protection, donned sunglasses to double-glaze my eyes, fitted a magic blade and learned how to reciprocate. The new saw went through my pesky pipe problem like a knife through butter. I admit, a cold knife through frosty butter, but five minutes into the job I was done. If ever I get sent to gaol, I want a ‘Sawz-All’ in my apple-rhubarb pie.

For the record, we moved a lot more books and “excess to our needs” computers out the door. Regrets? I’ve had / have / will have a few… Grammar tips (from one of the books I used to have). And the vintage Macs? No comment (necessary).

The season of tour ships is in full swing. The harbour is waiting on six different liners, and one that developed serious propulsion issues is getting shuffled from quay to quay to quay. The passengers were sent home; not the vacation the paying clients were hoping for…
