Bug spray stories

posted in environment, travel |

An hour before dawn, and it seemed like a good idea. Grab the iPad, find an app or two and the draw the idea. However, there’s a learning curve, and all I managed to do was restart the same little design, over and over agin.

The part where a garage would join the house was clear, as an idea. The requisite dimension; not so much. How long is a pickup truck, should we ever get one and need a place to park? How much space is required for a porch with three doors? Did we need three doors, or more? The help of a professional is sometimes required.

But enough with the “learn mechanical drawing in the comfort of your tent”. After three morning coffees, it was time to find a pen and paper and mind e to the central cooking shelter. Where, as timing would have it, our acquaintances from other summers started to drop in. The day passed quickly, as we explained our short term plans, over and over again.

Enough of that. On the way to supper, a fox crossed the road in front of us. Colourful change from all the rabbits. A clear proof that the coyote population is in a weak part of their population curve.

We joined a communal campfire this evening. Just as many bugs; more people to complain and trade anecdotal stories about effective sprays and swatting techniques through the years. Now to figure out the best way to wipe out a moth, attracted by the luminous screen of the computer, without having to find out if it means figuring out how to wipe off that screen.
