A flurry of permit activity
My coffee prep was much tidier this morning. Old dogs and new tricks. Now to expand to full-service meals with a cup of basic black.
As planned, we were at the regional offices this morning (before the regional official arrived). As expected, I didn’t accomplish much, other than to receive some statutory advice and a set of forms. Seems that Form A requires Form B which requires Form C which requires Form A. Any approvals will be a future gain. I did go to Souris to get culvert approval, which is given by Georgetown after advice from the local agent. I phoned, and was told to prepare my payment ($1500) along with some marker stakes, and a decision would follow. Sometime.
In the provincial computer system they already had my name, date of birth and address. Two out of three were correct (the address expired fully thirty years ago). My money still passed muster.
There was also an odd dance step, where I planted two fibreglass wands and measured the distance to the nearest civic address sign. Will that work? Does anyone else care? Will the nearest utility pole ge found in the middle of my eventual entry? Stay tuned for all the exciting details.
Supper? Fish cakes with baked beans and chow. Real food. The dog, on the other hand, may have been robbed by a kibble klepto during our time out on the roads.
At least the campsite wifi has received a major upgrade. No more standing on one keg with my nose to the prevailing breeze.
