Too thick to slurp

posted in computing, travel |

Time to go and study some arcane section of engineering; maybe fluid dynamics as a factor of humidity. Else, the mystery of my “too thick to slurp” milkshake will remain as a subject for the experts. I won’t be able to demonstrate the difficulty, or share (I finally cleaned out the container with a spoon).

This was a day for sitting and watching the world go by, through a rain-specked windshield. The requisite visit to the arena was short and polite. No new stainless wares this time around. The trip out to York was also little more than a hope for something marvellous, unmet.

I did go back to a local house store. This time, a request for price points… About what I expected. The current “multiplier” is around $130.  Trim optional, and additional. The seller did print out some floor plans and identify finished installations in my area, though. Food for thought.

The ” snowball” mic doesn’t jive with Win 8. How come the manufacturers have such a hard time keeping up with OS changes? Doesn’t anyone care about the established base of customers?

We received an “under the door” notice from the hotel that they’re going to wash windows for the next couple of days. We should keep our drapes drawn. Not us, per se; the client base. Or we could just go out and about instead of testing the mattress comfort during the hot and hazy days of summer.

Perhaps I’ll park the pooch near the window, and he can sound the alarm if the in lookers get close.
