Lightly used real estate
The overnight forecast includes showers. Rain and ‘shooting stars’. I know (from experience) that the two don’t mix, and so I’m going to stay in bed. If it’s really good (the star part), I’m sure someone will post on YouTube. Almost as good as being there.
We’re sharing a second dog this evening. For a creature that doesn’t say much, she sure sounds off when strangers go by. And since she knows nobody, that’s a regular interjection. Maybe I should take her out and perform introductions. No, won’t work; I don’t know them, either. At least I don’t bark…
The HR staff has noticed that my vacation quota is ‘larger than life’. Hey, I’m at work most every day; it all adds up, eventually.
In hockey, a Ranger has received a ten-game suspension. For elbowing one of the lads in the striped shirts. As for the guy that kicked the goalie… nada. Different class of passport, or something.
In Ch’town, a company has bought the former CND convent, for $1.5 million. I can imagine the realtor’s pitch; “The former owners didn’t party (or get out) much”. I’ve been in the building, and there’s plenty of room(s) to throw a wild weekend, should someone desire. Good downtown location. So, what will the new owners actually do with the place? Colour me curious.
And I’ve decided that I may have to reduce the caloric intake. Stepped on the scale and scared myself.
And I pitched a tent, this afternoon. Son #2 wants to get out of the city for a few days, and his hammock isn’t quite what he wants for the local climate.
