Royally “not amused”

posted in humour |

Oh how I wish I could draw a picture with words. I would offer up the expression of a certain royal couple, sitting in Ch’town, watching a comedic (sic) tribute to their mother. The script wasn’t funny, and they were “not amused”. In the most royal sense. Might be the longest visit ever by people with expensive pedigrees in that part of the world. And now they’re on their way to Winnipeg. There, it will be fun(ner).

Part of the charm of the idle rich is their ability to draw attention. I can’t draw that, but I can appreciate when a joke falls really (REALLY) flat.

Another intense comparison of microphone lockers with a co-worker. We both have aspirations, and limited means. Making the best of what you have is our motto.

The benefits of either earned wealth (or a great pension fund). Corey Hart (“Sunglasses at Night”) has decided to retire and write his memoirs. At the age of 52. What to do for an encore (“Sunglasses by Day?”) He’ll probably draw a good crowd, of all his fans, and they’ll back him up when he hits the chorus. No, I won’t be there…

In other news, we need to pity PKP.  According to his political party: While cycling over the weekend, “he ran into an obstacle and fell over”.  End quote. The pity part comes from the fact that he broke eight bones, including a hip and his collarbone. Ouch! Wouldn’t wish that on anyone, and no, money can’t cure everything. Or ease all pain. Or make your bike fallover proof (although training wheels help).
