The patience of patients

Four hours and counting. My turn will come; those chairs were busy, earlier. Now we’re comparing our appointment times with those around us since there is no other indication of progress.

It could be worse. No blood on the floor. This is a hospital and in other circumstances the management would want money.

On the news channel (running behind me with the sound at 1) the arrival of the first Bitcoin ATM is the most interesting event of the day. If I had too much cash, I could trade my plastic bills for a tiny slip of paper with a QR code. Progress!

I’m curious how that whole thing will play out. There isn’t much political openness to a system that fogs the money trail. Still the access is easier than trying to buy (or barter) a gold brick. And the “wallet” will slide easily into the rear pocket of your favourite jeans. Beware the Laundry Lion!

This is the first time I’ve posted from the smartphone. Auto correction does not add clarity to the thought process. My spelling skill diminishes, word by word.

The other thing that is keeping me out of my comfort zone is the realization that I’m going to get home too late to watch the season finale of Republic of Doyle. Two hours worth!

Yesterday I was asked to draw up a list of suggested hotels for a co-worker that is heading down to the Rock this summer. I want to go back!

And for the record the phone app swallowed the first image. I am trying harder this time.
