Preparing for busy weekends
the next few weeks will be busy, if my calendar of upcoming techincal details is accurate. Nothing wrong with busy; wish I could couple it with some extra cash, so that I could get fully involved in things.
One more day before a long weekend. Will I bake a fowl, or opt for something less difficult in terms of required space in the refrigerator for leftovers? Still time to decide. Maybe I can do a trifecta, with a hen, a ham and a halibut.
Get through the weekend, and prepare for the launch of Win8.1, on the 18th. I’m still safely moored in Win7 waters, but there is a factory issue hard drive with my copy of Win8, awaiting activation. I could have a weekend of constant upgrading (before putting the new drive back into storage and returning to familiar operating.)
Another few days, and the gang down (over?) in Cupertino are scheduled to launch something. The rumour mill is active, and there might be a Mini with Retina (it means something…) requiring major investments in technology (by me). I’m still intrigued by that looping app I spotted on YouTube. A reason to sing in the shower, over and over. We’ll see.
And then, just after the major excitement of Hallowe’en, I get to spend a morning resetting clocks. You know how I feel about that silliness, but it will ease the dark hours of my day spent on a bus. As well, I will be up in time to get my annual flu shot, to be sure. All in all, there’s a busy month ahead.
Or I could just do the Luddite thing and ignore it all.
