Shelf load of ereaders
Proof that I, too, have a sense of brand loyalty: three different, functional Kobo ereaders, side by each on the shelf. Not sure why, other than the old aphorism about “good things come in threes”.
The newest father/tech returned to work this morning, after his mandated parental leave. Rarely have I seen someone (so young and in good health) look so worn out. Think “back to back Iron man” (competition, not movies). I haven’t forgotten how babies stress parents, but it is good to see someone else wear the suit. Seriously. Been there, done that, got the (soiled) T-shirt.
A sense of déjà vu, watching TBBT episode where she sorts his closet. What is it about the average female and your perfectly good clothes. Checked mine, and no personal bits were on display. The colours were complementary (I think/I thought). Size: we all have good days and not so good days. No difference. The apparel didn’t make the final cut (but I am still here, which is a positive thing).
Talking to another co-worker who also has relocation dreams. Hard to tell a Maritime boy that someplace else is better. We know the difference. A lot of real estate still on the market (forget shore property). Old farm homes, in need of new interested owners. (Not me, in particular, but I can do the vicarious thing). In the old days, dreamers had to climb into the boat-sized Caddy of the realtor. Now, we have the ‘net, and the photos are always interesting. Dreams are so easy to nourish.
