Shiny kettles

This could be a poster for a fish’s room…

Use No Hooks

Actually, we stopped in to visit with son #2, at work, today. I’m glad, in a parental way, to be able to say that. The sacks contain the basic ingredient for a fine ale, after adding water and other essentials, and taking the time to do things right. A craft. It also helps to have expensive containers… like this one.

Copper dream

He was busy, and I was hungry, so I decided to sample the menu. Something involving the joints of a benevolent boar. With vegetables and flavour. A meal fit for a father.

Now, we were in a centre of commerce, so the afternoon was dedicated to sorting out issues with the mobile telephone industry. Not me, personally; I was cast into the role of concerned spectator. Believe me, when it comes to dealing with that cell phone crowd, you don’t often get to say “Believe me”. Cheats, liars, criminals of every stripe would fit well on the management team. Ask one person for an answer about fares and another will tell you the opposite, figures to support. This was an afternoon to be remembered, so that I won’t do it again. And I was a concerned spectator. Imagine how much worse it can be for those directly involved.

In keeping with an announced intention, we now have another ebook reader in the house. Each generation brings improvement, in both hardware and software. When my current companion wears out (the battery is coming up on two years of service), I’ll bave a chance to get something even better, for the same price point. And in comparison with the price of printed matter, I’m way ahead.
