Missed the dreaded asterisk
Attention, advertisers. The use of an asterisk does not remove responsibility.
Case in point. After searching for that eyedrop prescription I received several months ago, and finding it (everything in its place, etc.) I decided to nip on over to the pharmacy for a refill of my witches brew. And, I verified the hours of business, on the web. And I went out (despite the windchill that hovers around -33C right now). And they were closed. Back at home, I re-verified the information on the hours of business. And spotted an asterisk. Effectively, today was not like other days. By tomorrow, the asterisk should be gone.
Funny how my dog is my close friend when I have food (that he likes), but is reluctant to share his couch when I don’t.
Just learned that Dr Who has been on the air for fifty years (there’s a commemorative stamp on the way). I confess; I’ve never watched a complete episode, even though the music is interesting. If ever I tripped across a complete box set (big box, I suspect), I’d have to devote an important part of my leisure time to catching up. Is there a brief synopsis available?
I have two more days of vacation left, and no clear goal. After this, months and months of nothing but “the grind”. Not good. It’s too cold to do anything outside for more than a couple of minutes (even the dog is in speedy mode). Right about now, I miss summer. I’ve even tried checking historical ice thickness data for the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, in an effort to forecast when winter will end.
