My very own Bathtub key
I’m going to sleep tonight without the benefit of curtains. Preparation, you see, for the busy day tomorrow, when the window changers are due onsite. We got word just after suppertime, and the last couple of hours have been a scramble. Vertical blinds are designed to defy gravity; removal meant that my arms stayed above my head for far too long. Little matter. The windows have been bared, and by this time tomorrow I’ll be back to trying a reversal. Bets are already on over how many will be the wrong size.
Also on the horizon: daytime crate care for a dog that hasn’t settled into a routine. As soon as we leave the house, he panics and behaves badly. There are limits, and he’s going to spend some time in closed quarters during the working hours. Wish it was otherwise, pooch.
Received another Morse key today. This time around, a Bathtub model with original cardboard box, designed for use in a Lancaster. This is not my first foreign purchase on eBay; it probably won’t be my last. People over there have a differrnt selection of treasures. I can’t imagine how I would have garnered such a collection piece, back before the days of ‘net shopping.
There’s an odd discussion on the CBC website, on the idea that home ownership is bad. Help me out here. Why would paying someone else’s mortgage (as in when you rent) be a better strategy than paying your own? I like having a house (even as I plan to sell it).
