Cost overruns

posted in humour, politics |

A day later, and my mental health has improved. Still need a vacation, but the panic that there might not be one, (really really soon) has passed. All it took was getting “caught up” in my cubicle.

I’ve solved my telephony problems, my pile of new machines has become manageable (yes, I will finish them before quitting time tomorrow), and I cajoled someone’s copy of Word into printing properly. Tiny things, in the world scheme of things, but I may apctually sleep tonight.

Final episode of Republic of Doyle for this season airs in under two hours. Will this be a cliffhanger, leaving us wondering until next January? Based on past years, probably. Another reason to drop by the studio some afternoon and convince those assembled that I’d be a great asset for a plotline or two. I can do it!

The following cartoon, from this morning’s Le Soleil merits your attention. Thanks to André-Philippe Côté, even if he doesn’t know, yet. In an effort to get his work before the English of the country, it translates as “There will be cost overruns”.

Yes, once again the government has misspoke about those famous airplanes. Is there anyone left who thinks that this is a good deal, other than the CPC?

There is a ship, floating over from Japan towards British Columbia. Something lost during their tsunami. We should either salvage it and add it into the list of ships assigned to the Navy, or use it for target practice for our submarine. I opt for the latter.
