Another set of patch cords

posted in sports, technology |

Little bits and pieces. By themselves, each one is of minor importance, but added together, I had a good day. That’s what counts, right?

The Playbook now works with the external keyboard I received back at Christmas. I have to assume the update took care of the missing link. Not sure how often I’ll sit and type long texts, but now I can. Likewise, the Print2Go driver is installed on my laptop. I’ve forgotten the required password to test it, but there’s only so many ways to say Go. We watched the movie, French Immersion. A little light on story line, a definite test of basic bilingualism, but worth the time.

With all the new fallen snow, outside is brighter than before. Had to find the sunglasses in order to do my duty as family taxi guy.
I’m involved in some patch cord construction. Oddly, this time around it has to do with photography, instead of sound. Trying to control flash and shutter, remotely. All the pieces are in place; I need to spend a few minutes with the soldering iron before going any further. Instead, we watched another Gordon Pinsent movie, Saint Ralph. Sometimes, all you need is a goal, and a belief system that permits miracles. Won’t win the marathon, but you’ll have a better showing than the majority around you.

The Scotties are over. Another week or so of really skilled curling, with some familiar faces (comes with watching, year after year). The local entry made Top Four. And there’s still the World’s to watch.
