I need a few hours more per day

posted in Idol, music |

To those in charge of winter travel conditions: my neighbours and I are hardy. We will go out after a heavy snowfall, that hasn’t been plowed, and make our way to our destinations. However, if you throw in power failures that remove the calming power of the red light / green light sequence, things will quickly degrade. I was eleven minutes late for work. Can you sense the gloating nature? I was there before the rest of the team, because I put my faith in city transit and their big Tonka toys. Slide aside, tiny cars!

Picked up a new responsibility at work today. I’m now officially the conduit for greater telephone use; if you need a new number (within our corporate structure) I will be your first (and last) point of contact. Be warned. I will try to talk you out of your dream / brainwave. I will propose something smaller, whenever I can. Finally! Power! In return for greater workload, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

Too many choices for a Wednesday evening. American Idol. Bomb Girls. Republic of Doyle. At the same time, of course. And the industry wonders why we want TV on demand. A return to a lifestyle where the shows are on in order, and I can make them fit around other things.

Like learning a new fiddle tune. I have to do it. I have the sheet music, and several different performances (thanks to the magic of YouTube). The only thing holding me back is the reduced number of hours in my day.
