What to eat after a session of lecture?

posted in food, politics |

With the extra burst of energy from a complete breakfast, I made it through the last day before vacation with a smile on my face. Good breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, croissants, coffee… all served up hot at work. How off the wall is that? I didn’t have to do the dishes, or stir the eggs, or a blessed thing. I could learn to live with that level of care.

In fact, I had enough energy to clean up my cubicle and make things look good for the others. Yes, they took pictures. After all, I’m not about to turn this into a regular thing. Bottom line: I am not reformed. And with that out of the way, on to my evening entertainment.

We spent an hour listening to a notary, as the important details of a contract were enunciated. Yes, I can read, but in Quebec we have a caste of professionals that do this. Dates back to BL (before literacy). And with the auditive reinforcement, a citizen can marvel at the complexity and completeness of a system with a Civil Code as the basis. Never fear, we are all created equal (some more than others). For example, in the situation where a married couple die at almost the same moment, the man will legally live longer. Saves rolling a die or flipping a franc.

And after a session of listening, how about a meal of Bratwurst and Sauerkraut? How about Bratwurst, forget the Sauerkraut (just my preference showing through). Let’s see if I can will heartburn to pass me by.
