Intention to construct antennas
After some careful thought and investment, I’ve decided to turn this into this.
For those in the know, I won’t need to explain any further. For the rest of you, accept that the plan is perfectly practical, modest in price ($3.99 for the tape, at the local flea market), dangerous only if I manage to cut myself and worth the learning curve. I’ll be using whatever is left of the tape measure to measure the rest of it.
Another antenna. Or two, or three. Depends on my energy and success in finding some odd pieces for the non-metallic sections of the project. Broom handles sound like a possibility. Easy to store, easy to transport.
The football semi-finals (university level) were played this afternoon… pause, while I check the scores.
As (I) expected, the Rouge et Or romped (such a stupid word to describe football game play) to an easy 33-7 win over Concordia. No news there. On the other field, where I only got to watch the first half due to other responsibilities, the Carabins overcame the Vert et Or 33-15. Since Montreal is the only team to have beaten Laval in ages, this adds spice to the provincial final next week. I’ll not be watching (unless things turn out very differently from my game plan), but the scores are always available after the fact.
What does it matter? In the greater scheme of things, not much. But if the “home team” can go all the way to the Vanier Cup (in BC, this year) in three weeks, I’ll be content. If they win, I’ll be contenter. Use of the comparative with hope for superlative.
