Wishing and hoping
I’ve managed to miss another year at the Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival. Maybe if I practiced more…
Not to jest about such things, but I’d love to be that good. Or on time. Once again, I’m starting vacation after the dates for the various shows; even if we drove like the proverbial wind we wouldn’t have arrived on time. Pity that there isn’t a streaming feed for the rest of us.
Found out today that all of my siblings are already on the Island. There’s something wrong with this picture. Time to kick the starter on the little car and get roadbound. Soon, soon.
Meanwhile, back at home, I’ve stocked up on dog food. At least she who rules the couch will get regular kibble, so long as the dogsitters do their job. Oddly, we watched a strange movie involving a dogsitter this evening. Greenberg, starring Ben Stiller. Never know what to expect from that lad. This movie was dark (dealing with mental instability), but nothing that happened seemed impossible. Pet taxis – we don’t have those locally. I definitely identified with a pool that was overflowing, after excess feed from a garden hose and the rain gods. Somehow, I would have thought about using the filter pump, rather than trying to rig a siphon.
And now, in an epic fail, I’m half-watching a bio of Rene Angelil on Musimax. Too much information about a minor personality in the Quebec constellation. Time to find a good book and settle in for an evening of too warm weather with good lighting.
