Sunday blooded day
We awoke this morning to a sick dog, with signs of blood at both ends. The trip to the emergency clinic took place, and by mid-afternoon the expertise of veterinary science informed us that the dog had a malfunctioning immune system; insufficient white-blood corpuscles.
The house is filled with sad people, because the odds are not in the dog’s favour.
On a more nostalgic note, I took some time this afternoon to watch a VHS tape sent up from CBC Charlottetown by a chance acquaintance. The tape contains the rough footage taken back almost twenty years ago, to cover the end of railways on the Island. This qualifies as a true “mix tape” with snow plows, shunting, boat loading and removal of retired rail. This will provide food for thought when we finally clear “land” in the basement for our own HO layout.
