Plan ahead

posted in economy |

Another sign that summer is coming is the announcement of modified city bus schedules, to come into force in just over two weeks. Note that the date has no link to a)school closure b)vacation or c)a change in the ridership. Just a simple head’s up to the captive audience that for the next two months there will be fewer buses around for those who want to ride.

I’m sure there is a long, historic and completely valid rationale. At least, in the eyes of the city bus administration who are known to avoid riding the bus (limousine service, in the case of the top honchos). I’m sure they’ve analyzed it back, forth, up and down. In a spreadsheet.

Unfortunately for those who pay the way, we’ll make do. No missing a transit, unless you have a lot of spare time on your hands. Summer bus shelters help you to enjoy the humidity.
