Clean schools for everyone!
If your news is local, this matters: a local school is closed this week, due to infection. Tomorrow, four more will close as a precautionary measure. That doesn’t leave much wiggle room, in a small area like ours. We’ve been really fortunate (lucky?) until now, but this says that the runup to the holidays just took a turn for the worse.
I am good with closing a school because of a bad storm. Can’t prevent that. If you are counting the days, we’re within two weeks of an obligation to travel. Family matters.
Out west, a judge has decided that jail isn’t the right measure to punish convicted fentanyl dealers. I have another option; let them demonstrate their wares. If they “miss” the proper dosage, we will solve several problems. Dark justice? And that is why I’m not a judge.
Back to scouring the news feed for inspiration. Not much on offer. Let’s sidestep into the world of entertainment. I caught an analysis of the TV series “Yellowstone”. Again, a dark world. When we did our tourist tour, I was distracted by jets of steamy water and oversize animals wandering in the underbrush. Apparently there’s more.
Musically (neutral ground here), the Top 100 of ’21 has been announced. I don’t have the heart to open the link; I’m unable to imagine who made the list. Are “The Beatles” still important? Doesn’t Disney have a new three part series on the final days of their career? Final; not good.
Let the record (CD) show that I just purchased material from a new artist out of Bristol. Not Liverpool, but still geographically similar.
