Too impatient to wait (for winter)

posted in environment, politics |

Blame my afternoon on a lack of patience. I had considered leaving the deck clearing effort until after the first snowfall. Use the new layer of slippy to get my chairs and table down the hill. Today, tested by sunshine, I simply resorted to strong arm .Yes, the grass on the slope aided, but my patio/deck furniture is stowed until spring. I wasn’t sitting out there, much; now I will simply go for “not standing out there, much”. A subtle difference.

Did anything else haappen, along the way. Nope. Life in the country is quiet, and the dog simply found a place in the sun and spent his afternoon NOT going in and out and in. Me, much the same. I found a comfortable corner and did what I usually do when there’s no pressing need for action. Weekend? Weekday? No difference.

Kids (young children, not goats) are now eligible for “the jab” in the states. We’re being told that in Canada the permission will take another few weeks. Is there a reason that we should know? Or is this just us being cautious? Trying hard to follow the science.

The federal Liberals raised a lot of donated money in the run-up  to the recent elections. 7.65 million in ninety days, from a rounded 57,000 donors. I am not among the generous (a synonym for gullible). Yes, I’m on a list, and the daily requests go straight into a crap file that I keep around for future amusement. I figured out that none of the names given are genuine, and I hope to trade them in for fake hockey cards.
