Which brand (and is it your new favourite?)
Never underestimate the ability of certain objects to shape-shift. This evening, I was brought in to hep find a particular food container. Something from the Tupperware spectrum. It should have been easy to spit; fairly large, with a ruby red cover, stored in a single cupboard with others of its type. Alas, it was rendered invisible. For two of us, in surfeit. It was only when we had given up hope, and decided to look elsewhere that the container reappeared. Shape-shifting!
I haven’t noted this ability with other objects in the kitchen. The pots and pans stay where we put them, and are always simple to find. Ditto for most utensils. But, plastic containers for left-overs obey a whole other set of laws. We keep our cupboards closed when not in use, so the actual “gone forever” covers aren’t as much of an issue. Is there something to be learned?
Actually, we don’t have that many left-overs to put away. Two people, one dog; the quantity is minimal.
A recent uptick in vaccinations has spawned a new mental exercise. Which jurisdiction is doing the “best job”? Here, again, you don’t want to have too many left-overs in those specialized refrigerators. Get the doses into the arms, without delay! Actually, certain areas are blessed with multiple brands available, so the new question is “Which one did you get?”. People compare after effects and the delay until dose #2. We don’t have enough data to compare efficacity, but the anecdotal evidence continues to pile up. I know my brand preference. Although, with my innate common sense, I’m going to love whatever label I receive.
