Attach A to B
Forty-five years ago, this week, the song “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen made its radio debut. That’s all. Now back to feeling really old.
The lawn received its final trim for the season. I hope. Given that certain golf courses are reopening due to unseasonal temperatures, anything could happen. But, I figure the chances of a big green spurt are low. I wasn’t the designated driver, but I watched.
My job, for the afternoon, was to take all of the garden hoses, force the remaining water out of the kinks and bends using skills dating back to when I played the tuba, and then make sure that end A and end B were cinched together. Stops the local rodent population from moving in for the winter. A quick downhill run with the wheelbarrow and my required parking space in the garage was now free. While the grass is dormant, the Big Green Machine gets indoor storage. Keeps the replacement cycle down to something rational.
I received my order of JIS screwdrivers today. I’ve gone for decades, believing that a Philips head screw came in set sizes. Turns out, there’s a similar (but different) version out of Japan, and not having the right tool chews things up. I’m partial to using the right tool (after a lifetime of compromise), so I hunted for a bargain. And, naturally, only Amazon could deliver what I wanted for less than the total of our combined bank accounts. Moving forward, I’ll be learning where JIS is actually found, in my world. Apparently my new transceiver, and the high end bicycles of the world are both designates.
