Need more eggs, it would appear

posted in environment |

There it was: an email from eBay, along with a pop-up on my profile. The need to confirm my info, including my mobile telephone number. Oh, and a choice to use in the extraordinary situation where I don’t keep a phone in my hip pocket. I took several tries before I could proceed, and leaving the phone field as blank didn’t work. I filled in my landline number, and it looks like I have made it past the guardian. Still, why bother? Would they want to every speak to me, in real time?

Outside, the foxes have expressed a preference for eggs… including cold ones from my produce drawer. It is cool (no pun intended) to see how quickly the critters identify and steal any eggs left unattended in the grass. How do they know these things? Foxes and chickens; a match made in nature nirvana.

I have found my boot CD for Win7. Now begins the dance, where I will try to avoid erasing any data from my target hard drive, until I can assure the safe recovery of all my data. I know this scenario; the next few days will be filled with moments of dashed hope. I want my laptop back in working order.

A new lens arrived, this afternoon. Not mine, but something I recommended. Lovely bit of gear, as they say. Meant for the passioned birdwatcher in the home. Suddenly I want to watch some nature videos, and sports, to see how a long lens does more than bring things into view.
