Changes in my world
Open the door, focus, get my fill of evening hare. It wasn’t at all perturbed by my efforts.
This was a day for new experiences. I made a feeble attempt to restore life to the automotive a/c system. With a quick purchase from Amazon, we had a can of coolant and a hose with the proper bits on the end. Alas, I can’t notice any difference, which means that we probably need a new compressor ($$$). But, without trying the cheap test, I would be left to the able evaluation of a car dealer. Now, I have an idea about what might be needed. And we have managed to go eight years without replacing any of the “under the hood” bits, so that’s a tribute to the manufacturer (Nissan).
As well, I got a call from the local credit union. They needed me (to sign a document), and it gave me my first look at how certain things have changed since the pandemic started.
When I arrived, the front door was unlocked, but I had to do a visual to see if there were other customers in the lobby (one, only). I waited my turn, obeying the new stickers on the floor that outline the social distancing parameters. When I arrived at the wicket, a pen was sanitized (that is new, too). Then, I signed my name where indicated, and I was on my way.
In the local mall, my purchases were scanned and returned from behind a plexi-barrier, and I paid using the wireless feature of my debit card. We have really changed “the game”, since I went into isolation!
