What? No steel building offers?
As a person that has not spent much time as a tourist, I have moments of personal glee. In particular, when I see a place in a movie or other media moment that I have already visited. Really. Seeing something as ordinary as a public building becomes an extraordinary event, if I’ve already been there. Case in point, a marriage movie from today, where I recognized the church AND the picket fence across the road. Sublime.
I wonder. What would happen if I were to write a book? I mean, others do it. It can’t be that difficult, right? But then, the negative voice comes up, and mentions that I might not be able to handle going into a book store and seeing MY cover. Even if I adopted a pseudonym, I’d still know. Remind me to check with some other authors, to get insight into this stumbling block.
The dog is enjoying the “warm weather”, this last couple of days. I find him sitting comfortably on a snowbank, barking at nothing and hesitating to come back inside. Yes, he seems to be stiff and sore, but is unable to see how much better off he would be looking out the window (barking at nothing). I think he needs a life coach.
The new virus is causing stress, elsewhere. People are being held in quarantined cities, by the millions, in China. Nothing else to add.
This was a mail-free day, which means that our outstanding bills are in order and nobody wants to sell me a steel building (I seem to get a lot of flyers about that, despite having no history of ever having shopped for one).
