In the presence of tiny energy

posted in travel |

Sitting here, enjoying my sibling’s faster wifi (194 MPS, compared to my home speed of 3.6 MPS). I opted to check the weather at home, and it looks like we had a “bit of freezing rain”; enough to stop the anemometer, cold in its tracks. Sorry, but I couldn’t resist. Maybe the sun will come out, tomorrow.

This was also a travel day, and we are better than 850 km done since dawn. The road conditions were great. Out of our hotel before daylight, picked up son #3, settled in for a long run.  We managed to take the correct exit for our wanted shortcut, despite our inattention to details. I do wish the folks that put tolls on roads would post the tariffs and modalities for payment before you arrive at the barrier. Food was as bad as any other time, proving that a chain hamburger reaches the criteria for edibility, nothing more.

Any in-car music came from playlists of the others. Serves as a  idea generator for future research. I want to hear different music from the content found in the mainstream.

Finally in my old high school town, I recognized faces on the street. Makes me proud, for no particular reason. Tonight, I’m in a large apartment with a quantity of small children and larger dogs. Where does all that energy come from? I’ve decided to not go out to socialize (until tomorrow).  Take that as a code phrase for feeling sleep deprived. I’m sure my family will forgive an absence (as if there is a choice).
