Analysing the run

posted in media |

Last night, the chorus sang. Coyotic, hypnotic, almost chaotic. We don’t hear them often (enough). It always begins with a single voice, and sometimes after the initial solo, it ends. Last night, added layers in their harmony. Of course, our dog was enthralled; isn’t that the point, to use their siren skills to attract canine attention? We told our beast to ignore the other beasts, go back to sleep. Which he did.

Hard to tell who else even hears their music. I talked to someone who raises birds, not far from here. His hens have been disappearing, one at a time, but the turkeys remain untouched. Perhaps the hunter knows when not to invest.

Downstairs, the improvements continue, at a pace that seems “long term”, but what do I know? Materials continue to trickle in, and I’m sure that the results will be beyond our expectations. Again, not going to take photos, until things seem close to done.

In the news, a manhunt that stretches from BC to AB, so far (this is not taken from a geometry question, just to clarify the angle). Murders, plural, with known suspects that seem to be avoiding any contact with authorities. Today’s angle (pardon) is that they may have had inadvertent assistance, in their travel plans. Photos showing a train crew checking the hatches on the side of a passenger coach turns this from “burnt car” to “next big adventure movie”.  I guess we all have false expectations, from decades of Hollywood. The reality is that this manhunt might not be solved in an elegant fashion.
