No antenna building today
Filled with the intention to do a little antenna construction this weekend, I printed out my shopping list and headed to my hardware store. Nothing. No PVC, no wire, nothing. Buying locally is a great idea, but only when the stocks in the shop align with the needs of the client. Guess I’ll be going to the city at the next opportunity.
Friday. No HVAC team on site. Only a minimum of time invested in the basement build. It’s summer. Oh well. Maybe before the snow season.
Stateside, the move to a Real ID system is progressing quickly. Why do I foresee thousands of Canadian travellers, sequestered in airports, because the various provincial teams didn’t align their implementation timelines with the new continental tendency?
Got some groceries a little earlier. I didn’t realize how kale looked like a weedpull from the woods, until now. As well, I purchased the only sack if sunflower seeds from the hardware store. Eventually, my squirrel farm is going to have to rely on local feed.
Late last night, frustrated with my poor wifi, I did a complete reset on my principal router. And it worked! Today, my throughput has returned to normal levels. Nothing to brag about, but at least my need to alternate between the local SSIDs has dropped off.
Filled with the urge to assist a total stranger in a genealogy quest, I anonymously translated a six page text between my two familiar languages. It was actually much easier than I had estimated. I guess my skillset is still there, floating just beneath the surface. The recipient lives a world away, and won’t see my efforts for another few hours.
